The ruling parties rejected the Supreme Court bench set up to hear the judicial reform bill.
The ruling coalition called the appointment of the case for hearing before the implementation of the Supreme Court Procedure and Practice Bill as an affront to the Parliament and its authority.
In a joint statement issued by the parties involved in the government, the move to form a controversial bench on the Supreme Court Procedure and Practice Bill was rejected.
It has been said in the statement that such a move has never been seen before in the history of Pakistan and the court, it is tantamount to destroying the credibility of the highest court of the country and making the constitutional process of justice meaningless.
The joint statement further said that the division of the Supreme Court has again supported the position of the parties in the government, it is also regrettable that no judge from Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been included in the bench. Shab Khan declares, this move will be strongly resisted.
The declaration also states that the attempt to take away the authority of the Parliament, to interfere in its constitutional scope will be resisted, the authority of the Parliament will not be compromised in the light of the Constitution of Pakistan, the intention of forming the controversial bench and Apart from the intention, the upcoming decision is also clearly expressed.
