Experts have taken data from various national surveys from Japan and California. These include the National Health and Nutrition Survey of 2005 and 2006 and the National Death Index 2019. In the study, 3,000 people were fitted with accelerometers to record their movements or walking patterns.

This study found that 22 minutes of brisk walking per day has many physical benefits. The risk of diabetes is reduced, blood pressure is normalized and there are good effects on the heart. In this way, the risk of falling into diseases is also avoided.
