Florida: A study has found that the human brain is working harder when playing against a robot.

Researchers at the University of Florida examined table tennis matches between human vs. human and human vs. robot. In the analysis, players wore caps with electrodes during the game that monitored their brain activity.

In the analysis, the scientists found that when the humans played against each other, their brains were working in the same way, but when these players faced the ball-throwing machine, their brain neurons were not in the same order. . This phenomenon is called ‘The Synchronization’.

Daniel Ferriss, a university professor and one of the authors of the study, said that if there are 100,000 people in a football stadium and everyone is chanting together, there is a ‘synchronization’ process in the brain that means That the mind is peaceful.

He said that if these 100,000 people are talking to their friends or engaged in some other work, it will not be a sync. Desynchronization in many cases indicates that there are many computational processes going on in the brain.

In a study published in the journal eNeuro, scientists said their study showed that players’ brains worked harder when playing against robots because the machine did not provide such cues. One can predict what will be the next move.

The professor said that when humans encounter robots, it is a different situation than when humans encounter humans.
