There has been significant progress in tackling financial fraud through mobile apps. Securities and Exchange Companies of Pakistan (SECP) disabled 40 out of 75 illegal financial fraud apps.
The SECP says that with the help of Google, the rest of the apps will also be disabled by May 31. Apps operating from overseas will not have access to users.
Obtaining Forensic Audit and NOC has been made mandatory for Nano Loans business, Forensic Audit Certificate from PTA approved audit firm has to be obtained.
SECP will issue Business NOC on the basis of this certificate, the statement said, under the agreement with Google to curb illegal business.
