Supreme Court to concerned authorities for non-provision of funds for general elections in Punjab Summoned in the chamber of Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial.
A notice has been issued to all the authorities by the Registrar Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court issued a notice and summoned the officials including the Finance Secretary and the Attorney General to the chamber on April 14.
The notice says that the non-provision of funds for elections in Punjab is a violation of court orders, the consequences of the court order are clear in the law and known to all.
The Supreme Court, in a notice, said that all the officers should appear before the Chief Justice Chamber on April 14. Funding for elections is more important than contempt proceedings.
The court has also ordered the Governor State Bank to bring all the details related to the available resources while also directing the Finance Secretary to bring all the records.
The notice also asked to state why the orders of the Supreme Court were not followed.
The court has also ordered the Secretary Election Commission to provide all the records related to Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa elections.
The Supreme Court asked that the Secretary Law, Director Law Punjab and KP appear with all the records related to the elections on April 14 at 11 am.
