Army Chief General Asim Munir visited Heavy Industry Taxila (HIT), where he was briefed on the technical capabilities of HIT.
According to ISPR, the Army Chief was briefed on the progress of ongoing projects in HIT.
The army chief visited various factories of HIT, inspected the indigenously manufactured 155 mm artillery gun barrels.
On this occasion, General Asim Munir said that this is the key to achieving self-reliance in defense production.
He further said that heavy industry Taxila is a center of knowledge economy and research and development, it plays an important role in national exports and economy.
The Chief of Army Staff expressed full confidence in the capabilities of the HIT personnel.
He appreciated the capabilities of HIT officers and manpower in modern defense production.
