The missing foreign currency worth lakhs of rupees of a passenger who arrived in Faisalabad from Dubai was dutifully returned by the vigilance staff of Civil Aviation Authority at Faisalabad Airport.
According to the spokesperson of CAA, the vigilance staff of Faisalabad Airport found an abandoned bag lying in a trolley from the drop lane, which was taken into custody by the staff and handed over to the airport administration.
Saudi riyals and Pakistani rupees were found in the wallet, the total value of this currency was around 5.5 lakh rupees.
There were other important documents including passport in the bag.
The passenger, a resident of district Sargodha, was contacted through the mobile phone number and information contained in his air ticket and informed that his bag was safe.
Later, when the passenger reached the airport, the bag was handed over to him.
The passenger has thanked CAA and ASF.
According to the spokesperson, the passenger has especially thanked the CAA vigilance staff for their efforts in delivering the currency and documents to him.
