A petition has been filed in the High Court to quash the notification to outsource board examinations in Sindh, which will be heard on Wednesday, April 12.
Sindh Professors and Lecturers Association (SPLA) and All Sindh Private Schools and Colleges Association filed a petition in Sindh High Court to stop the notifications of Universities and Boards Sindh.
The petition challenges the notification of the controlling authority’s self-imposed powers to outsource the examinations and the illegal and unenforceable notifications of all the boards including lakhs of students of Sindh, their parents and teachers just a few weeks ago. They are suffering from mental confusion, hesitation and uncertainty.
SUPLA and All Sindh Private Schools and Colleges Association identified all the issues in a meeting with Minister Universities and Boards Sindh Muhammad Ismail Raho. The Chief Minister Sindh, Education Minister Sindh, Secretary Universities and Boards, Secretary Schools Education, Secretary Colleges Education also informed the concerns and reservations in writing.
Also published a white paper on this sensitive issue on urgent basis but unfortunately no progress was made.
SAPLA Central President Professor Manoor Abbas and Chairman of All Sindh Private Schools and Colleges Association Haider Ali said that the future of millions of children in Sindh cannot be sacrificed on frivolous attitudes and unprincipled decisions, and neither can Sindh’s educational institutions. Boards used to have auctions.
