Riyadh: In Saudi Arabia, an Iranian reciter won the big competition of Hassan Quran, while the first prize for the beautiful call to prayer was won by Saudi citizen Muhammad Al-Sharif.

According to Saudi media, Iranian reciter Yunus Shah Moradi won the world’s biggest Hassan Qur’at competition in Saudi Arabia.

Organized by the Saudi General Authority for Entertainment, the world’s largest international recitation and call to prayer competition “Attar Al Kalam” (Fragrance of Speech) was held in Saudi Arabia.

Councilor Turki Al-Sheikh, chairman of the board of directors of the institution, awarded prizes to 20 winners in the last installment of Attar Al Kalam program.

The first prize in the recitation category was 3 million Saudi Riyals (Rs. 23 crores) which was won by Younis Shah Moradi of Iran.

In the Azan category, Muhammad Al Sharif of Saudi Arabia came first and was entitled to a prize of 2 million riyals.

In Hassan Qaraat, Saudi Arabia’s Abdul Aziz Al-Faqeeh won 2 million riyals and Zakaria Al-Zariq of Morocco won 1 million riyals after winning the third place. Abdullah Al-Daghri of Morocco came in fourth place and won 7 lakh riyals. found
