In Saudi Arabia, the world’s largest recitation competition was held in which prizes were also given to the winners.
According to Arab media, 20 winners were awarded prizes in the last episode of the ‘Attar Al Kalam’ program in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
In the recitation category, the first prize of 3 million Saudi riyals (Rs 23 crore) was won by Younis Shah Moradi of Iran.
In the recitation, Saudi Arabia’s Abdul Aziz Al-Faqeeh won the second position and won 2 million Rials and Zakaria Al-Zarik of Morocco won the third position and won the prize of 1 million Rials.
Abdullah al-Daghri from Morocco took the fourth position, he got 7 lakh riyals.
According to Arab media, Muhammad Al Sharif of Saudi Arabia came first in the Azan category and was entitled to 2 million Riyals.
Guinness Book of World Records also issued 6 certificates in different categories during Attar Al Kalam competitions.
On this occasion, Turki Al-Sheikh, Chairman of General Entertainment Authority, said that Attar Al Kalam competitions were appreciated by Muslims all over the world.
He said that this provided an opportunity to promote the excellence of the Holy Quran.
Turki Al-Sheikh said that these competitions will be held next year as well.
