Taipei: China, angered by the meeting between Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen and US House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, has started deploying its warships around Taiwan.
According to international media, after Taiwan’s President Tsai Ing-wen’s meeting with US House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, China has started deploying its Navy ships near Taiwan’s border.
Taiwan’s defense ministry said three Chinese warships were in Taiwan’s territorial waters, while a fighter jet and an anti-submarine helicopter also crossed Taiwan’s airspace.
The Chinese aircraft carrier had passed through the southeastern waters of Taiwan and headed towards the Western Pacific Ocean, while Tsai had met with McCarthy in the United States just a few hours before.
