Quetta: In Balochistan, it became impossible for the citizens to get cheap flour, while the prices of sugar were also increased arbitrarily.
According to Express News, there were long queues of buyers to get cheap flour at Bacha Khan Chowk.
Due to poor administrative arrangements, it became impossible for the citizens to get cheap flour, which caused distress to women, children and the elderly. The citizens demanded that the government should ensure the supply of cheap flour.
On the other hand, in the capital of Balochistan, Quetta, the price of sugar was suddenly increased, after which the price of sugar per kg reached 125 rupees. After the price hike, a 50 kg bag of sugar went up to Rs 6,200.
Citizens say that until a few days ago, sugar was being sold at Rs 90 per kg, suddenly the prices have been increased. The government and administration seem to be failing to sell sugar at the official rate.
