Karachi: The Sindh government declared 313 residential schemes of the province illegal.
Director Town Planning Sindh Master Plan Authority released a list of illegal residential schemes. In the list, 313 residential schemes of 37 taluks of 28 districts of the province were declared illegal.
Illegal residential schemes include 20 societies in Hyderabad district, 74 in Nowshahru Feroze district, 23 in Mirpurkhas. 18 in Matiari, 14 in Sukkur, 19 in Khairpur, 24 in Nawabshah and 11 in Larkana are illegal.
47 residential schemes of 5 taluks of Sanghar district of Sindh, while 17 societies in Jacobabad, 3 in Kashmore, 26 societies in Sajawal and 26 in Thatta have been declared illegal.
Officials say that citizens of all districts must get verified before buying plots or houses in these societies.
