Karachi: On the direction of Provincial Education Minister Syed Sardar Shah, the Directorate of Private Schools suspended the registration of the school and dismissed the misbehaving teacher due to mistreatment of an Urdu-speaking student in a private school in Karachi.
According to the details, Sindh Education and Culture Minister Syed Sardar Shah took notice of the incident and issued orders for an inquiry into the mistreatment and punishment of a child in the Civilization School located in North Nazimabad Block J.
After a five-member committee of the Directorate of Private Schools submitted a report after an inquiry, they suspended the registration of the private school and also imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh on the school. Statements of the school principal and parents were recorded by the committee.
Education Minister Sardar Shah said in this regard that no child can be forced to speak their mother tongue in the process of learning, it is the legal right of the children of the province to get education in their mother tongue.
In this regard, the member board of directors of Civilization Public School Sabtain Naqvi said in his explanatory statement that the incident that happened on January 27 is against our philosophy and thinking. are not part.
He further said that the Civilization School has been playing its clear role in the promotion of Urdu. The school has also organized mushairas of famous poets in the past, in which poets like Iftikhar Arif, Fahmida Riaz, Amjad Islam Amjad have participated in the mushairas. The case does not prefer English over Urdu.
