Islamabad: A detailed decision was issued to dismiss Imran Khan’s bail application.
According to the report, in the detailed judgment, the High Court raised questions on the evidence of the case. The judgment said that there was not a single proof that the money sent by Arif Naqvi was the proceeds of crime
The court said that the allegations made in the FIR have nothing to do with Imran Khan or Tariq Shafi, Imran Khan has not signed any bank document.
The decision said that according to the FIR, either Arif Naqvi gave a false affidavit or the bank officials did not report the transaction, the authority regarding the bank officials belongs to the State Bank on whose behalf no action was taken.
The Islamabad High Court said that State Bank neither inquired nor declared any transaction received by PTI as illegal, an allegation of conversion of PTI account to Naya Pakistan account which is not a crime.
In the detailed decision, it has been said that the investigation officer of this case did not record any statement of State Bank officials, FIA could not satisfy why the bail should be canceled.
The court said that the banking court was correct in this case, all the evidence is documentary, arrest is not necessary, the pleas for cancellation of FIA’s bail are dismissed.
It should be remembered that this decision has been issued by a bench consisting of Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani and Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri.
