The Rawalpindi Bench of the Lahore High Court dismissed Sheikh Rasheed’s petition to de-seal Lal Haveli.
7 units of Lal Haveli, Sheikh Rasheed’s residence in Rawalpindi will remain for sale, the Lahore High Court Rawalpindi Bench disposed of the application.
In front of Justice Mirza Waqas Rauf, the administration of waqf property said that the adjacent property, not Lal Haveli, has been sold.
On this, the court dismissed the plea to de-seal the 7 sealed units in Lal Haveli, and also directed the abandoned waqf properties to settle the matter within 15 days.
The court also reprimanded the administrator of waqf property for not presenting a clear stand during the hearing.
Talking to the media after the hearing, Sheikh Rasheed said that the court has directed that the way of those coming and going to Lal Haveli will not be obstructed.
He further said that the Deputy Administrator of Abandoned Waqf Properties is following the instructions of Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah.
The former federal minister also said that if the registry of Lal Haveli is fake, disqualify him.
In this regard, the Deputy Administrator of Waqf Property says that Sheikh Rasheed and his brother are illegally occupying 7 land units of Waqf Property including Lal Haveli.
He further said that the residential part inside Lal Haveli was not sealed, 4 shops on the ground floor were sealed.
