PML-N leader and former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi appeared before the accountability court of Islamabad regarding the LNG reference.
On the transfer of Judge Nasir Javed Rana, the reference was transferred to Administrative Judge Muhammad Bashir.
NAB Prosecutor Mirza Usman also appeared before the court.
The lawyer in the court said that the case of NAB amendment laws is pending in the High Court and Supreme Court, the hearing should be postponed until the decision of the case related to NAB amendment laws is made.
The accountability court accepted the plea of the accused’s lawyer and adjourned the hearing till May 2.
On this occasion Shahid Khaqan Abbasi talking to the media outside the judicial complex said that we appear in NAB cases every week but the case does not go on here, so far 4 judges have been changed but the case is not being decided.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that we respect the judiciary, that’s why we appear before the courts.
He said that the Supreme Judiciary has to restore its reputation itself, when a finger is raised on the bench, the judge cannot decide on it.
