Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi says that when a finger is raised on the bench, the judge cannot decide.
Speaking to the media outside the judicial complex in Islamabad, PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that the Supreme Judiciary has to restore its reputation on its own. We respect the judiciary and therefore appear before the courts.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi further said that the courts take a hundred motions but take notice of the hearing of the cases. We appear in NAB cases every week and no one knows the case here. So far 4 judges have been changed but the case is not being decided.
Earlier, the hearing of the LNG reference against former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and others was held in the Accountability Court. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and NAB prosecutor appeared before the court.
The lawyer of the accused Dr. Amanullah took the position that the matter of NAB amendment laws is pending in the High Court and the Supreme Court. Islamabad High Court has constituted a larger bench on April 26. The hearing should be adjourned until the decision of the case related to the NAB amendment laws.
The court accepted the plea and adjourned the hearing of the case till May 2.
