Observed: A man poured curd on the heads of two veiled women in northeastern Iran’s Mashhad. The man was also arrested along with the two women involved in the incident. The video went viral on social media. The Iranian president called it a ‘legal matter’.
According to social media reports, the incident took place in a milk shop near Mashhad.
In the video, it can be seen that a man argues with two women in the shop, one of whom is partially covered, and the next moment he picks up a container of yogurt and pours it on both of their heads.
Meanwhile, the shopkeeper comes and pushes the said person out of the shop.

According to global media reports, after the video of this incident went viral, the above mentioned two women have been taken into custody for showing their hair. It should be noted that in Iran it is against the law for women not to cover their heads in public places.
The person who poured curd on women’s heads has also been arrested for disturbing public order, while the shopkeeper has also been issued a notice to ensure compliance with the law.
It should be noted that there have been protests against strict hijab laws in Iran, especially after the death of Mahsa Amini, protests started in Iran, after which thousands have been arrested.
Reacting to the viral video, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has called it a ‘legal matter’.
