Karachi: During the fire in Korangi Ilyas Goth, dozens of buffalo sheds were burnt, cattle fodder worth lakhs of rupees and other goods were destroyed.
According to Express News, a terrible fire broke out in the buffalo enclosures located in Korangi Ilyas Goth on Sunday morning, which intensified as soon as we saw it, and the fire quickly took many enclosures to its plate, the employees of the enclosures helped the cattle under their control. Moved to a safe place and started trying to control the fire.
As soon as the fire was reported, 2 vehicles of the fire brigade reached the spot and started trying to control the fire. Due to strong wind, smoke and non-timely supply of water tankers by the water board, the fire brigade personnel faced difficulties in controlling the fire. Due to the fire, dozens of sheds were completely burnt and the cattle fodder and other goods of high value in them were burnt.
A dairy farmer said that there are 60 to 70 fences in 99 hectares of land in Elias Goth, which have all been burnt. Dairy farmers have suffered a lot due to fire.
He said that a dairy farmer has cattle fodder worth at least five lakh rupees, which includes straw, vinda, porridge and bran, which has all been burnt. Gone but luckily the cattle of the dairy farmers are safe.
Deputy Commander Rescue 1122 Karachi Hammad Ali Qureshi said that his team was on the spot within 20 minutes after receiving the information about the fire in the fences and they tried to put out the fire. Six vehicles of Rescue 1122 participated in the operation. There was no loss of life during the fire and all the cattle were also safe. The reasons for the fire could not be immediately revealed.
