Landslides have occurred due to rain in Balochistan province, as a result of which traffic has been suspended on the affected roads while many people have been injured.
Traffic was suspended on the Zhob to DI Khan road between Danasar and Manikhwa due to rain-induced landslides.
According to RESICO sources, there have also been reports of injuries to a few passengers due to the landslide, while the district administration is busy opening the road.
According to PDMA, a large number of passenger buses and small vehicles are stuck in an area of several kilometers, after receiving several rescue calls from the area, a quick response has been given.
According to PDMA officials, MERC Badenzai and Manikhwa response teams have been dispatched to the affected area and passenger transport from Islamabad, Peshawar, Swat has been stopped within the limits of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Traffic between KP and Balochistan has been suspended until the rescue operation is completed.
On the other hand, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) says that there has been heavy and stormy rain in Koh-e-Sulaiman range in Chaman.
According to PDMA, the border areas of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are also flooded due to torrential rains in the Sulaiman mountain range.
