A policeman was martyred by the firing of a terrorist wanted by the Anti-Terrorism Department in Mardan.
According to the Counter-Terrorism Department, Maulana Fawad, wanted by the police in Sri Bahlul Khatko Kali Mardan, killed a policeman on the top floor of the mosque to avoid arrest and started firing on the policemen below.
Maulvi Fawad was also killed by police retaliatory firing. According to CTD, Maulana Fawad was wanted by the police.
