The President ordered the FBR to refund the tax deduction to the library in Multan.
President Arif Alvi said that FBR should give tax exemption certificate to the British era library in Multan.
Federal Tax Ombudsman’s order to refund tax deduction of 1 lakh 98 thousand to the library is upheld, President rejected FBR’s representation against FTO’s decision.
The president said that the library is providing the facility of reading books to the citizens at a nominal cost of Rs.20.
He said that the deposits kept with the bank are the main source of survival of the library, FBR should issue exemption certificate to the library for the remaining period.
