Pakistani-American psychologist Dr. Farah Abbasi has been included in the list of women leaders of America.
Dr. Farah Abbasi has recognized the usefulness of faith and culture in the treatment of psychological problems.
Dr. Farah Abbasi was honored at an event titled Women on the Front Lines: Celebrating Women Faith Leaders hosted by the US Secretary of Health in Washington.
Dr. Farah Abbasi, who works at Michigan State University, told Geo News that religion and social background play an important role in the treatment of mental illnesses.
He added that faith leaders, community leaders and psychologists should work together and the award was given to him for this.
