A major decision has come from Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif in which he ordered to withdraw the curative review reference against Supreme Court Justice Qazi Faiz Isa.
The government says in this regard that curative review reference was filed on flimsy and baseless grounds.
The government also decided not to pursue the reference against Justice Qazi Faiz Isa.
The Prime Minister has directed the Law Minister to withdraw the curative review reference and said that Justice Qazi Faiz Isa and his family members were harassed and defamed in the name of the reference.
They say that the reference against Justice Qazi Faizaisa was not a reference, it was a vengeful Imran Niazi against a fair judge.
The Prime Minister has said that it was a nefarious conspiracy to kill and divide the independence of the judiciary. Pakistan Bar Council and lawyers’ organizations also opposed this reference.
He has also said that the opinion of lawyers organizations including Pakistan Bar regarding this reference is valued.
It should be noted that the cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has already approved this decision.
