Islamabad: The Supreme Court ordered taxpayers with income above Rs 15 crore to pay 50% super tax.
A 2-member bench headed by Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandial heard the case. The court said that taxpayers with high income should submit super tax to FBR within 14 days.
Counsel FBR said that a new section was inserted in the Income Tax Ordinance to levy super tax on those earning more than Rs 15 crore.
The Chief Justice said that FBR should increase the relationship of trust and love with the tax payers, FBR will increase the scope of its tax and it will be a change. The trust of the tax payers should be won by FBR. Further hearing was adjourned indefinitely.
