Scotland: For the first time in the political history of Great Britain, a political leader of Pakistani origin, Hamza Yusuf, was elected the first Muslim head of Scotland.

Hamza Yusuf was elected president of the Scottish National Party a day earlier after receiving a vote of confidence from Parliament and was then sworn in as the head of Scotland, becoming first minister as well. .

Hamza Yusuf was a member of the Scottish Parliament from Polk in Glasgow. He has previously served as the Minister of Health. He became a member of the Scottish Parliament at the age of just 26 years and holds the distinction of being the youngest member of the Parliament.

Hamza Yusuf of Pakistani origin has also served as Minister of Justice and Transport in the Scottish Cabinet. The Scottish leader’s father is from Mian Chinnu.
