Lahore: It has been 2 years since Neelu Begum, the famous actress of Pakistani films, was separated from her fans, the famous actress touched the heights of fame with the song ‘Ai Mosam Ringele Sahane’ from the super hit movie ‘Saat Lakh’ and has not looked back. The actress was also awarded the Nigar Award for her outstanding performance in the film ‘Zarqa’.
Today is the second anniversary of famous actress Nilu Begum, mother of film star Shaan and wife of famous film director Riyaz Shahid. Cynthia Alexander Fernandes, who opened her eyes on June 30, 1940 in a Christian family in Bhera, a suburb of Sargodha, became the Nilo of the film world.
Neelu Begum made her debut in the film industry in 1956 through the Hollywood film ‘Bhawani Junction’, but she gained fame in the Pakistani film industry by performing in the song ‘Ai Mosam Rangele Sahane’ from the 1957 superhit film ‘Saat Lakh’.
Neelu Begum ruled the hearts of millions of fans by showing the essence of acting in superhit films like Doshiza, Ezra, Zarqa, Betti, Dachi, Jidar, Sher Di Bachi and Nagan.
Neelubegum’s son Shaan is still considered as the stalwart of the Pakistan film industry, his recently released film “Zarrar” has created a sensation.
