Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has stopped announcing the names of candidates over the issue of postponing the elections in Punjab.
Party sources say that Tehreek-e-Insaf has stopped the announcement of the names of the candidates, the candidates will not be announced until the final date of the election comes.
Sources say that the decision was taken after consultation with Imran Khan of all division coordinators of Punjab, the lists of shortlisted names will remain with Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaaf.
PTI’s Divisional Co-ordinator Khyaal Castro says that the purpose of not announcing the names of the candidates now is to avoid internal differences in the party, if they are announced, reprisals may start against the candidates.
Khyal Castro says that the names will be finalized after the date of election in Punjab.
