The coordination committee of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) declared the census as its red line.
According to sources, a meeting of MQM’s coordination committee was held at Bahadurabad center, in which concerns were expressed over the census process.
According to the sources, in many areas, the census staff has not been able to reach till now, while in several areas, the residents of one building have been counted as one.
During the meeting, the coordination committee took a clear stand that census is the red line of MQM.
According to the sources, it was decided in the meeting that the MQM will inform the federal government and the Chief Commissioner of Census about its concerns regarding the census.
According to sources, a decision could not be taken in the meeting regarding participation in local body by-elections.
