Pakistan International Airlines (PIA)’s stance on the sudden change of Jeddah-Karachi flight to Lahore has also come to the fore.
A PIA spokesperson said that flight PK 830 had to be rerouted from Jeddah to Karachi instead of Lahore due to unavoidable operational reasons.
According to the spokesman, the passengers from Jeddah to Karachi will be brought to their destination by flight PK 732 tomorrow.
Passengers were informed about the latest update on their available numbers, he said. Passengers who reached the airport despite this are being provided accommodation and food.
It should be noted that earlier a video of the passengers had come out in which it was said that the flight route has been changed suddenly.
According to the passengers, the passengers from Jeddah to Karachi are being given two options, the first of which is to be accommodated on the flight to Lahore, from where the passengers are being advised to take another domestic flight to Karachi on Sunday morning.
Another option is being given by the PIA staff to wait till 12 midnight on Sunday, in this option it is being asked to wait for a direct flight from Jeddah to Karachi.
