As soon as the passenger plane took off in America, the pilot’s condition worsened, the pilot of another airline traveling in the flight took the plane back.
Southwest Airlines Flight WN6013 took off from Las Vegas Airport to Columbus at 6:44 a.m. yesterday, when the pilot suddenly became ill a few minutes after takeoff.
Fortunately, an employee pilot of another airline was traveling as a passenger on the same flight, who volunteered to help in the emergency and took control of the Boeing 737 aircraft and introduced air traffic control himself.
The passenger pilot made a safe medical emergency landing back at the Las Vegas airport exactly one hour and 6 minutes after takeoff, the flight was later delayed by 5 hours to its destination at 11 a.m. after a change of captain.
