Intermittent rain continued in various districts of Balochistan including Quetta, Ziarat, Qila Saifullah, the cold returned due to snowfall, 10 inches of snow fell in Ziarat, 21 mm of rain was recorded in Quetta, the rain has stopped since Saturday. There is a possibility of improvement in weather conditions.
According to the Meteorological Department, on Friday, snowfall continued in Ziarat and intermittent hailstorm and heavy rain in Barkhan, Dalbandin, Kalat, Khuzdar, Nokundi, Quetta, Sibi, Zhob, Austa Mohammad, Chaman, Loralai, Pashin.
Last night, heavy rain and hailstorm in various areas of the province including Bolan, Qila Saifullah and other areas of Ziarat, Toba Kakar and other areas caused severe damage to crops and gardens. In cooperation with other authorities, the traffic flow was restored by removing the snow on the roads.
The Quetta Sabi Highway has been partially opened for traffic after the flood barrier came at Panjara bridge in Bolan.
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will be dry in most of the districts of the province on Saturday, while the forecast will remain partly cloudy in the northern districts.
