According to the Sindh Chief Minister’s spokesperson, the Sindh Cabinet approved the price control ordinance, which was sent by the Sindh Chief Secretary to the Governor House, and the Sindh Governor approved it immediately.
He said that the number of magistrates is being increased under the Ordinance, the number of food inspectors is also being increased to control inflation. Food inspectors will strictly implement government decisions.
According to Sindh Chief Minister’s spokesman, food inspectors have been given the powers of magistrates against hoarding and illegal profiteering in Ramadan.
The sale and goods of the profiteer’s shop will be confiscated, no one will be spared who sells goods at more than the government fixed rate.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah says that the ordinance has been passed which will help in controlling the prices. The Ordinance to control prices will come into effect from today after the approval of Sindh Governor.
