A civil honors ceremony was held on the occasion of Pakistan Day at Governor House Peshawar.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Ghulam Ali awarded civil honors to 11 personalities of the province in the ceremony.
Religious scholar Qibla Ayaz was awarded for meritorious services and Suraj Narayan alias Narayan Lal was awarded the Medal of Distinction in recognition of public services in the literature department.
Bushra Farrukh and Gul Zari Wagmah for their services in music and singing, Masood Jan was awarded the Presidential Medal of Excellence in Blind Cricket for his extraordinary services in blind cricket.
Caretaker Chief Minister Muhammad Azam, Provincial Ministers and Chief Secretary participated in this event.
On the occasion of Pakistan Day, caretaker Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Azam Khan has said in his message that the establishment of Pakistan is the result of long struggle, tireless work and great sacrifices.
He further said that working for the development of the country is the best way to pay homage to the sacrifices of our forefathers.
In the message, Governor KPK has also said that today demands that we play a positive role for the security and stability of the country.
