The Islamabad High Court extended the interim bail of PTI Chairman Imran Khan till April 6, exempting him from court appearance in the murder case.
The State Council told the court that Imran Khan has not yet been investigated in the case. The court directed lawyer Faisal Chaudhary to coordinate Imran Khan’s statement.
Islam High Court Chief Justice Amir Farooq heard the bail application of Imran Khan. Imran Khan’s lawyer Faisal Chaudhary Advocate said that the petitioner wanted to appear here, but he had to appear in the Lahore High Court as well, so he could not come.
State Counsel Zohaib Gondal said the petitioners have not yet been involved in the investigation. Two notices have been issued but they have not been served yet. Faisal Choudhary Advocate said that the investigating officer believes that it is necessary to record the physical statement.
The investigating officer will go with me and I will record his statement in Lahore myself or the statement should be recorded here on the same day Imran Khan is scheduled to appear here.
The Chief Justice said that both the investigating officer of the case and Imran Khan’s lawyer should decide what to do. A case of attempted murder has been registered against Imran Khan in the complaint of Mohsin Shah Nawaz Ranjha.
