What did Putin see in Ukraine's most devastated city?

Russian President Vladimir Putin made a surprise visit to the Ukrainian territories occupied by Russia, the videos of which were released by the state TV channel.

According to foreign media, the day after the arrest warrant was issued by the International Court of Justice, Russian President Vladimir Putin suddenly visited Mariupol, an annexed region of Ukraine.

According to Russian state TV, late at night Putin met with local citizens, in videos he can be seen driving with the deputy prime minister at night.

According to British media, the Russian president passed near the sites of several heavy attacks carried out by his army during the months-long siege.

According to reports, the Russian president also visited the concert hall in the city of Mariupol and the newly constructed compound.

Mariupol, an exiled mayor of Mariupol, told British media that Mariupol has ‘personal’ significance for Putin because of what happened in Mariupol.

He added that the punishment that Putin had inflicted on the city of Mariupol. No other city was destroyed like this, no other city was under siege for so long.’

He added, ‘They have personally come to see what they have done there.’

Putin also passed by a damaged hospital building where a pregnant woman was rescued alive during Russian bombing and gave birth the next day, but another pregnant woman died in the same hospital.

Putin’s vehicle also passed a point where at least 300 and possibly more than 600 civilians were killed in the deadly bombing.

At this point there was a building in which many displaced Ukrainian citizens took shelter during the siege by the Russian army.

According to Boishenko, ‘Russia knew where the people were, and they deliberately destroyed those places and killed the people.’

Putin also saw what was once a festival for the entertainment of Ukrainian citizens, where classical music concerts were held, citizens celebrated.

During the siege, citizens used the concert hall as a drama theater for shelter, hiding in basements and waiting for the end of the Russian terror.’

It should be noted that Mariupol was destroyed last year during the siege by the Russian forces at the beginning of the war.

It should be remembered that this month the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin for alleged war crimes in Ukraine.
