The Russian government has ordered government officials not to use iPhones.
According to the report of the Russian newspaper Kommersant, the government says that the intelligence agencies of the western countries can control the iPhone.
In a seminar organized by the Kremlin for national politicians, the First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration, Sergei Krenko, said that government officials should change their phones from April 1.
He said the order is for iPhone users to either throw it away or give it to their children.
The newspaper report stated that it is possible that the Kremlin will provide iPhone replacement phones to government officials, different operating systems will be installed in these phones.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said he could not confirm the report but could say that smartphones are not used in official work anyway.
