A woman was stabbed to death with a sharp instrument in the flat of Afzal Manzil located in Street No. 3 near Pakistan Hotel in the area of Faqir Muhammad Dara Khan Road Garden, Osmanabad within the limits of Kalakot police station. The victim was identified as 40-year-old Tahira.
According to the Karachi Police spokesperson, the victim was killed by her husband Atiq, who fled the scene. Malik Shamsher, the neighbor of the deceased, while talking to Express, said that Tahira was the mother of 2 girls and was living on rent. Her husband did not do any work and often did not come home for many days and when he did come, the sounds of fighting were heard from the house.
The deceased Tahira was self-employed and used to support herself and her children. On the night of the incident, noises were also heard from Tahira’s house, on which the neighbors thought it was a domestic quarrel as usual, but after some time, when the girls’ cries were heard from the house, the locals went and saw Tahira in her stomach. The knife was stuck. The girls said that their father ran away after beating them.
The police handed over the dead body to the heirs and started searching for the deceased’s husband.
