Section 144 enforced in Peshawar, ban on gathering of people

Peshawar: Section 144 was imposed to maintain law and order throughout the district.

According to Express News, Deputy Commissioner Peshawar has banned gathering of 5 or more people in one place under Section 144 CrPC across the city, with the aim of maintaining law and order situation in the city.

According to the Deputy Commissioner, Section 144 will remain in effect from March 18 to March 22. In case of violation, legal action will be taken under Section 188 PPC.
