Britain has welcomed the arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for Russian President Vladimir Putin.
According to a foreign news agency, British Foreign Minister James Cleverley has said that he welcomes the ICC’s move to hold Putin responsible for alleged war crimes in Ukraine.
James Cleverly said that the perpetrators of war crimes in Ukraine must be brought to justice, and that investigations into alleged atrocities in Ukraine must continue.
It should be noted that the International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin for alleged war crimes in Ukraine.
In a statement released by the Hague-based court, it is said that due to the illegal transfer and deportation of children from the occupied territories of Ukraine to Russia, they have issued an arrest warrant for Putin.
The court said that there are solid reasons to believe that Putin is responsible for these crimes.
