The US dollar crossed Rs 229 at the interbank level against the Pakistani rupee.
The US dollar gained further in early trading this morning.
The dollar has become 229 rupees 25 paise after becoming expensive by 10 paisa in interbank.
On the other hand, the dollar has become 240 rupees after becoming expensive by 50 paise in the open market.
It should be noted that in the open market yesterday, 239 rupees was 50 paise to the dollar.
Yesterday, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said that foreign exchange reserves have increased in the second week of the new year.
According to the State Bank, the country’s foreign exchange reserves were 10 billion 44 million dollars as of January 13. In the second week of January, the foreign exchange reserves increased by 255.8 million dollars.
Reserves of the State Bank are 4 billion 600 million dollars after an increase of 258 million dollars, while the foreign exchange reserves of commercial banks decreased by 2.2 million dollars to 5 billion 84 million dollars during the same period.
