Poland and Slovakia have agreed to supply fighter jets to Ukraine.
Poland will be the first NATO member country to supply 4 MiG-29 aircraft to Ukraine.
Polish President Andrzej Duda said the fighter jets were taken from the former German Democratic Republic and will be handed over to Ukraine after their service.
He said that the Polish Air Force is still using MiG-29 aircraft.
While holding a news conference with the President of the Czech Republic in Warsaw, he said that both countries are ready to provide humanitarian and military assistance to Ukraine.
On the other hand, Slovakia has also announced to give 13 MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine.
This announcement was made by the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Eduard Heger, who said that they will also give the ‘Kob’ air defense system to Ukraine.
Slovak Defense Minister Jaroslav Nad said that fighter jets will be delivered to Kiev in two weeks.
