Inspector General of Police (IG) Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon says that society has to oppose criminals and terrorists.
Addressing the peace conference at a local hotel in Karachi, he said that the situation becomes difficult when the criminal is confronted and compared with the police.
IG Sindh said that such an impression is given as if there is no peace in the city, a negative impression of Karachi is being created under a conspiracy.
He said that we asked people to install cameras, it will also help the police.
He said that Karachi is now at 128 in the World Crime Index. New Delhi, Dhaka, Kabul, Tehran and even New York are worse than Karachi in the crime index.
The IG added that there will be many people in the police who will be corrupt, the third party recruits new personnel.
