In this meeting, Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said that the law and order situation at the time of 2018 election was much better than the current situation.
In the meeting, the IG of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said that various terrorist groups are involved in operations from Afghanistan’s Badakhshan, Nuristan and Kunar provinces, terrorist groups are carrying out terrorism by crossing the border from Nagarhar, Paktia and other areas.
IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said that in 2022 there were 495 incidents of terrorism in the province, 100 martyrs and 275 people were injured in 118 incidents of terrorism in 2023, the districts of southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are affected by terrorism.
He said that North Waziristan, Lakki Marwat, Bannu, Tank and Dera Ismail Khan are affected by terrorism, the conditions of the newly merged districts are also not suitable for holding elections, the situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is very bad compared to the rest of the country.
