According to Express News, the Election Commission consulted the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor twice for the date of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly elections and after the last meeting in Islamabad, Governor Haji Ghulam Ali announced the date of May 28.

In this regard, it has been learned from Election Commission sources that the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa did not give the official date of May 28 to the Election Commission in the last meeting held in Islamabad, but asked them for further consultation on this date and asked the Election Commission on some issues. Sources have said that an important meeting of the Election Commission regarding the date of the election is being held in Islamabad today, in which the situation of the election in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be reviewed and it will be decided to contact the governor to ask for a date once again. will

In order to know the position of the Election Commission in this regard, the Secretary Election Commission and the spokesperson of the Election Commission were repeatedly contacted, but their position did not come out and they remained completely silent on this matter.

When Express contacted the Governor, he said that the date of May 28 has been given to the Election Commission, but the consultation is ongoing and the final decision will be taken soon.
