Lahore: A professor of Punjab University tortured a student in the state of intoxication, on which the police registered a case.
The police registered an FIR against Professor Manoor Sabir on the matter of a dispute between a teacher and a student in Punjab University.
In the text of the FIR, it is written that Dr. Manoor Saber, in a state of intoxication, tortured the students along with two people and during the torture, cash and other items were also taken away.
The police have registered a case against three accused including the professor under the provisions of false imprisonment and theft.
On the other hand, the chancellor of Punjab University, taking notice of the incident, has formed a committee for investigation which will submit a report in three days.
It should be noted that a day ago there was an altercation between the student organization and the security staff outside the Vice Chancellor’s office, after which the situation became tense.
