A case was registered against 72 people protesting the possible arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan in Bahawalnagar, while 24 activists were arrested from Lahore.
Police say that former provincial minister Mian Shaukat Ali, former MPA Malik Muzaffar are named in the case.
Police say that PTI district general secretary Nadeem Zaman, former MPA Asif Manzoor, Shaukat Basra have also been named in the case.
According to the FIR, PTI workers protested at City Chowk last night.
On the other hand, Lahore Police arrested 24 workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf during the clashes in Zaman Park.
The police said that 12 of the arrested workers belong to Sheikhupura and 7 from Lahore, besides workers from Upper Dir, Lower Dir and Azad Kashmir.
According to the police, the accused will be produced in the court tomorrow for remand.
