The Chairman of the Council of Islamic Theories Dr. Qibla Ayaz has said that the option of self-determination of gender is not correct.
During the press conference, Dr. Qibla Ayaz said that in the meeting of the Islamic Ideological Council, concerns were expressed about the social and legal problems of the transgenders and transgenders.
He said that the protection of the basic human rights of transgenders and transgenders should be ensured, the council reviewed the Transgender Persons Protection Rights Rules in detail.
Dr. Qibla Ayaz further said that the rules are made in continuation of Transgenders Act, several provisions and clauses in these rules are not compatible with Shariah.
He said that the Islamic Ideological Council declared the self-adopted provisions related to identity as illegitimate.
The Chairman Islamic Ideological Council also said that the Council passed a detailed resolution on March 15 on the Anti-Islamophobia Day.
He said that many provisions of the Transgender Act 2017 and 2018 are un-Islamic, the provisions which are not compatible with Sharia should be changed, the option of self-determination of gender is not valid.
Dr. Qibla Ayaz said that everyone agrees that rejecting the concept of Guru, the state should establish institutions and parents should accept them.
He said that there is no place for Guru in regard to transgender, it is the worst form of exploitation, which has no place in Islam.
Chairman Islamic Ideological Council said that Guru is the latest form of slavery and against human rights, the government should create institutions to bring transgenders back to life.
