The federal government has banned the president, prime minister and cabinet members from receiving gifts worth more than $300 from Tosha Khana.
The government immediately implemented the Tosha Khana Policy 2023, which bans the purchase of vehicles, watches, jewelery and other gifts worth crores of rupees.
Under the Tosha Khana Policy 2023, judges, civil and military officers will also be banned from receiving gifts worth more than $300.
The president, prime minister, cabinet members, judges, civil and military officers will also be banned from receiving cash as gifts from domestic and foreign personalities.
According to the policy, upon receipt of compulsory cash gift, the entire amount has been directed to be deposited in the national exchequer immediately.
